This beautiful first of June dawned with a dose of peace and calm.

First light illuminating a rose campion volunteer in my garden.

Dappled sunlight on new grass.

Eggs in the nest box, still warm.

The girls enjoying a breakfast treat.

The irony of Hazel perched on the grill.

Hanging laundry and watching it sway in a breeze that is barely felt.

Simple sights, simple chores, simple joys.

Happy Monday.

My blog has just been invaded by a nasty spam commenter and I was feeling really down. Your lovely, cheerful post has pulled me right out of the gloom. Thank you!

Hazel on the grill...sounds like a new entree...but, we won't tell her that!

I got a big laugh from the picture of the eggs...I thought it was a baby's bottom, at first. Yes, I have an appt. to get my eyes examined on Thursday..haha.

Beautiful pictures! Happily, Hazel doesn't know what goes on under the grill hood. Where on earth did May go?

What great photos! Makes me want to call in "not-sick" to work today and just enjoy the year and the neighbor's chickens! But I won't..but I COULD, but I won't..but I'm thinking about it..

Thanks for the great, peaceful and fun photos..and Hazel? Just too ironic!

Karin, I got such a laugh from the pic. of "Hazel on the grill", I even showed it to my hubby, he laughed too. Just what we needed today, a laugh.
Clothes hanging on the line, fluttering in the breeze, ahhh.
